New Taxing System!
Just to confuse things the government have a new tax system for cars.
This new system means more tax bands, their now range from A to M.
Basically as before with cars from 2001 onwards the more polluting your car the more it will cost to tax.
Prices for some of the higher tax bands will rise next year, the highest rise is in Band M for cars which produce 225g/km+ of Co2. (example, see above)
Good news for drivers of some of the lowest polluting vehicles as lower tax bands, including Band A-D will see a decrease in their price. Meaning you will save money on road tax.
